Situated in the heart of Brindleyplace, this 50,000 sq ft inland aquarium was the largest of its type in Europe when constructed in 1995. It was let to Vardon plc at an initial rent of £300,000 with what were then innovative fixed uplifts. The completed investment was sold for £3.44 million.
The building remains one of Birmingham’s leading attractions and was designed by Lord Norman Foster.
