Happy couple Adele and Richard Brotheridge brought something old, borrowed and blue to their wedding - with the 'new' provided by Solihull Registry Office.
The Smiths Wood couple were the first to tie the knot in the office's Ceremony Suite following an £80,000 refurbishment. The makeover involved a complete redecoration of the venue, with installation of a new sound and lighting system and front canopy.
Richard, aged 25, and Adele, 29, said "I do" in front of 30 guests.
They met through Facebook when Adele enquired about jobs at the British Transport Police, where Richard works. Richard said: "We had not seen the new-look office until we turned up and it was great," he said.
The refurbishment was carried out by interiors company Trills Services, who gave the newlyweds a bottle of champagne to mark the happy occasion.
